LESSON 9

Brief description about the class

Today, the professor has shown us the point 1.3. Royal Decree 126/2014, February 28^th, Curriculum of Primary Education. We have been speaking about the new organization of primary education, the teacher’s role proposed by this Royal decree, the teaching-learning competence and the new method: the interdisciplinary vision. All of these things pretend to improve Primary Education.

Afterwards, we have seen 1.3.1 First Foreign Language curriculum. We have started 1.4. Decree 54/2014 of the Curriculum of Castilla – La Mancha too.

Finally, the whole group have been talking about if extracurricular activities are important or not and why. 

What I've learnt

I have learnt many things about the new curriculum of our community. I have known more than the teacher’s role proposed, the new method they pretend to introduce, the contents and competences worked on the First Foreign Language.

Also, I have learnt more about the elements of the Curriculum, like for example: objectives, competences, contents, standards... 

My personal opinion

I think these topics are quite boring because we have to know things about the education law, but, although it is boring we, like teachers, have to learn it. Nowadays, these laws are the base of our primary education, so we have to know it to be the best teacher as possible we can. 

Knowing all of this law, we can do better our job, but it is important that we don’t do exactly what the law says. We have this base, but we can work with our imagination and creativity to improve it.
