LESSON 18
Brief description about the class
In this class, the professor shown us the portfolio, what it is and its origin. She explained us that the portfolio has three different parts: Dossier, passport and biography (where you write what you know about a determined foreign language you are learning). After this explanation, the professor presented us some examples of portfolio that we can design to our future students.
Afterwards, she taught us a song called 'One, two, three, four, five' that we can teach our pupils. Also, she showed us some differents techniques to facilitate communication like gestures, sounds, pointer....
What I've learnt
With this lesson I could learnt a lot about the foreign language portfolio, its composition, its aims, its characteristics... I didn't know anything about this so I found very interesting this new learning.
I could learn an interesting song to teach my students too.
My personal opinion
I found this lesson quite interesting. I have never heard before anything about the foreign language portfolio and I think this is very important to us, because if we want to work in another country, we are going to have to show this document.
So I think, this knowledge are going to be very useful in my future, because since my pupils are very child they will have their portfolio and they will be able to complete and fill it and write a lot of experiences in it.
This portfolio is an important tool to English teachers.
