LESSON 1

Brief description about the class

On the first lesson, we've met each other. The professor has introduced her and she has told us some things about her life. Then, we have had to talk in front of the whole class about ourselves like for example: where we live, who we are, our age, our hobbies... 

After that, we have told too about why we decided to be a teacher and what was our motivation to do this degree, and not other. We have done it talking with a partner and then we have explained the reasons of our classmate to the rest of the class.

What I’ve learnt

In this lesson, I have could learnt more about my teacher, my partners and their motivation to be a teacher. 

I would like to show the most interesting thing I have learnt during the class: it’s a method to recuperate our pupils attention with a simple task raising up the hands. The teacher raises up his/her hand and children raise theirs too. So when the teachers lose their pupils attention and children are talking a lot, the teacher raises his/her hand and pupils too, so they start to be quiet and pay attention, and there is a calm class again.

My personal opinion

I think it is important when you are new in a class to know people around you. It is a good form to start a new subject because it is a first contact with the partners, the teacher and the subject.

Like teachers we have to do this because our pupils will be more relaxed and comfortable and they are able to be less shy and nervous. We can use this method to introduce a new subject or new partners.

Also, I think the method described before, it is a good method to do our childrens pay attention.
